After 3 years with no fishy friends, we are back in the mix!

Considering switching the background to just the blue side though... seems a little busy to me. What do you all think?

This is my boys' 10g acrylic bowfront with 4 neons and 1 oto. We want to add some ghost shrimp and their Auntie is bringing them 4 fancy guppies next month... 2 male and 2 female. This should be fun.

Any other suggestions on tankmates?

Nice looking tank...

However, I would only add one guppy, since they reproduce like crazy, and I would up the neons to 6 or 8, since they like to school.

Hello Flying Diamond

Hello everyone!

I think your 10 gal tanks is beautiful flying diamond!!
I too would only put one female in your tank, see if you can get a pregnant one from the store, instead of one male with one female, the male ration is min. of 1 male to 3 females, as they tire out the females.
Instead of that, would be best if you could get a female already pregnant...lol....as you will have more of both sexes in 28-30 days with each female being able to give off aprox. 20 litters of small fry.
Life span of most guppies is under 5 yrs. so I hear.

I have one ghost fish that accidently hitched a ride in the water of purchasing my 10 neon tetra's at a low cost of $1.95 each here in southern ontario, canada.

I have a 90 gal tank with 5 female and 3 male, but didn't need to have more then one male and 3 female. Though I do want a mixture of colour of male babies, with having 3 males of different colour, and shapes.
Maybe one day I will take a picture of my tank and fish, and upload to this site.

Goodluck!

Thanks for sharing!

Those neons have great colour! Thanks for posting :)

Thanks for the input on the guppies! And thanks for the comments on the tank. I think that for 6 and 8 year olds they did a great job... my boys picked out everything that went in the tank!

And now that we've got Daddy hooked, well... we'll be posting pics of our new tanks as they are created. Hee Hee!
