Turns out he's long-finned.

Since I got him a few weeks ago his caudal & pectoral fins have almost DOUBLED in length and heighth.
NOTE: pictures are from the day I bought him, you will NOT see any difference in finnage.
Here's a few pics, sorry don't have any measurements YET. Hope to get it by this weekend. He's a shy fellow, only comes out at night unless starved and given veggies in broad daylight, hence pics with lights on.
I have more pics, unfortunately my phone ran out of memory and they've been put away in memory storage...

I will NOT tolerate any hateful, abusive, or derogatory comments on this thread. I have been flooded with PM's of people swearing at me and calling me names, so considering leaving the forums. Obviously, everyone knows this pleco is not a foot long so their is no need for you to post that.

It looks to be about 6" and is a great looking fish. Not quite the footer, but that's a massive bn for sure.
 
Dude, it's a Pleco! Reach in, place your hand over his head and grab him by the pectorals with your thumb and middle finger in a kind of a piscine half nelson, and lay a tape on him. If you hold a Pleco like that they will reflexively freeze, making measurement fairly easy. He may wag his tail slowly a bit, but that's it. While hateful comments certainly aren't warranted over a stupid fish, you have been dragging this thing out inordinately. Btw I certainly hope you don't consider the joking comment about telling your girlfriend to be hateful. However if so, please feel free to disregard it, this, and any of my posts.

PICTURES!! I FINALLY MEASURED HIM!! I TOLD YOU HES 6", GOODNESS SOME OF YOU WERE GOING 3-4", I THOUGHT NO WAY IN HELL! I CAN FINALLY SAY I TOLD YOU SO! ;)
