UPDATE: monster bn pleco

Great Pleco.!! Who knows, maybe he is longfin and they're just growing back after being nibbled down by a fishy:) If not, its a still a very impressive fish, 6 inches or not. Although I believe you. He probably is at least 5.5", right?;)

Very nice fish, Mr. Bigglesworth. He is good-sized for a male BN. :)

Thanks!! :). The reasons he seems to be 5.5' in the pic is im holding the ruler sideways. But yes i am talking TL. Most of you use SL. In which case hes slightly under 5"

Thanks! Have a pair of them trying to breed my regulars with them since I can't seem to find mates at a reasonable price.
Really? Hmmm. IDK if your close but in SF, theirs a place called Ocean Aquarium, they have a juvenile LF common (not albino) who is probably just hitting sexual maturity. Same place I got my 'monster' bn (debatable) ;) And their asking ~12$ (thats if it is still their, i was just their last week, the managers says nobody will buy his plecos, my 'monster' was their for several months b4 i picked him up).

ID my BN please

I hope hes a common because all of my others are and I want to breed them but he is too big to be a common, right? without fins (SL) he is 5", and planetcatfish says max size 4.9". Whats say you?
Hold on my computer doesnt have the pics lemme get on my phone.
BTW, its a male, right?
