I have a black background on the 20 gallon and on the betta's 6.6 gallon, so if I go with the picture type it will be a first. I think they give a tank some depth. I might buy one and take some pictures with and without.tank looks pretty good. having been through lots of changes (including backgrounds) on my planted tank, i think the black looks best. good luck.
Thanks for the advice. I had not heard of that gel before - I'll look for it.we have picture backgrounds on every tank except for the 75, they all look pretty good, but if i can offer some advice (you probably already know a lot of this but..), instead of picking out one that looks cool, try and find one that maybe has some of the same plants as you have or at the very least the same colors. also make sure you spend the time to smooth out all the bubbles or it wont look right, i dont know if you have heard of seaview gel for backgrounds, i have not tried it, but it looked pretty cool. anyways, good luck with whatever route you choose.
I'm very familiar with that catalogue. That Fish Place too. WIth all the browsing I do in there you would think I would have seen it. LOL!i think i saw it in drs foster and smith catalog.
