Updated and rescaped the tank. . .

Just finished planting this afternoon, so there's a lot of leaves and junk floating around that I'll have to skim off when everything settles.

Here's the before:

This setup was mainly a ton of wisteria, which eventually choked itself out and died.

And here's the new setup:

The photo kind of sucks- my wireless speedlight batteries were dead so I'm charging them up to snap some better photos later.

I trained the wisteria to stay low and weighted the stems so they would sink in an attempt to keep it as ground cover. We'll see if it gets out of control here. I'm undecided on whether to keep the dwarf sag or not, as it's really not the look I'm going for. I'll give it a few weeks to see if it fills in more. Other than that there's parrot's feather, a bit of duckweed, java moss, moneywort, and red ludwiga.

I'll probably be rigging up some sort of DIY CO2 tonight.

I like the large rocks, they look like the rocks in Takashi Amano tanks 8)

I also love the splash of red that the ludwigia offers.

I say give the sagitaria some time, it will have a nice grassy effect.

Looking good :)

Hope everything grows nicely for you! :)

Very pretty. Love the splash of red w/the greens and nice rocks. My dwarf sag filled in fast but then they got really tall. I'm talking like 12++ inches. I had to take a bunch out, but they can spread like crazy w/ all those runners.
