Updated Pics Reef and Sump

I have a question on your water pump.

How many GPH is it rated at and what size piping are you using on the return?

looks good!

Thanks, Everybody!! You motivated me to do a needed water change and kill some aiptasia.

My return pump is a Mag 9.5 and with a 3 foot rise probably around 700gph. I have a 1" flex tube going up to the tank, teeing off into two outputs. With two 3/4" tubes coming down into the sump from a CPR CS 102 overflow.

One year Anniversary of Old Reef Tank

Here's an update of the tank after one year of running. Equipment hasn't changed except I employed another berlin hot w/mag 7 I had laying around. The sump looks like a sewer now so I'll spare you that sight. Haven't bought any new fish since May, but lost a nice lawnmower blennie.
Thanks for Looking,
Tom

WOW!! What an amazing tank!! I love built in tanks, they look amazing!! Very nice tank!

Thanks very much, Folks. I do this periodically so I can see the progress. Slow, but sure. I might wait a year to do it again, unless something drastic happens.
Regards,
Tom

wow the tank is looking truly amazing! i wouldn't mind having some of them red mushrooms u have so many of...lol

Thanks very much!

Gman, if you're ever in the Detroit area, I'll give you some to take home. They spread like crazy.

Any heat problems with the Mag 9.5? I'm curious as to what else you are using other than the mag for flow.

Thanks for compliment, chucke!

Nolapete,
I'm using 5 maxi 1200s for flow (2 on a wave timer) in addition to two mag 7s that run the skimmers in the sump. When the timer goes off, there's lots of turbulence right where the sps are.

The only heat problems I have are in the middle of the summer. I have a fan that cools the mh ballasts and a smaller fan that blows across the water when the lights are on. Temp is usually at 78 give or take a degree. I haven't seen the heaters go on, ever.
