I have a couple of new additions to the reef. The star, the frogspawn and the pink palys. Included a pic of my small frag rack and a curious ricordea that only likes dim lighting. I had a rock full and this one left the rock and has been doing very well - odd becuase all my other rics like light (not really strong, but light). The first star polyp is one of my favorites and has lots of new growth on the bottom. Sorry for the photo quality....used a point and shoot.

Also wanted to add this one. This is of my green bubble tip. She only came out of the rocks to stay in this space. Picture isn't great but she is really content there and feeds when offered. Luckily my clowns haven't found her becuase they beat up my sebae and it didn't make it.

My LFS sells a kit for $15.99 that is the grate, two small tubes of super glue gel and a few small plastic plugs and a few larger plugs. What I like about them is that the frags move off the plugs onto the spot where I put the plug. Also, the large plugs have 4 holes in the perimeter that let you "stitch" softies if needed to hold them down - I have used fishing line, fine gauge. I'll take a pic and post it in a minute.

Here is photo of the two plug sizes, how they fit on the grate. Hope that helps. Also, a pic of my pom-pom moving the last bud off the plug. This way I don't leave anything in that isn't natural once they move.

I usually use rubble or when I get frags from locals I ask for fresh cuts.

For ric's I usually use rubble but I do have two that I used the plugs for and 1 is now in the process of moving off the plug to the reef and I can then clean and re-use the plug for another frag.
