Updated ten gallon pics.

That's a really inspiring tank. I've been considering setting up a small marine tank with live rock & 1-2 fish.

Having limited apartment space, I've got enough room for a 10 gallon or a 12 gal nano cube ... the 10 gal seems more customizable & definitely more affordable, as I'd like to be able to afford equipment besides the tank and also something to put in it :)

That said, would you mind my asking how much of the sand and the live rock you used at setup? I'm trying to gauge costs & your specs have provided me with invaluable info :read:

Thanks,
Bryant

PS - Your cat & my Tommy Boy look similar, from what I could see of him/her :)

I started with about two inches of sand thats slowly been absorbed over the years. I started with about 20 pounds of live rock and the rest came with corals. The wmore live rock you start with the faster your cycle and more stable your tank will be.

The cat is crazy about my neon dottyback and I am afraid of something bad happening one day cause of it......

I was staring into the abyss known as my little ole ten gallon wallet drainer..... kidding. :)

Anywho I noticed one of my large one foot bristle worm and thought I would get some pics of him. Pretty amazing that its one foot and in a ten gallon...

Here are the pics of it eating a sponge. I watch in amazement as it swallowed the sponge off the glass in whole. I had always thought that they actually ate via a tounge and licked.

This is his mouth open against the glass.

Just for kicks I took a pic of my brittle star.

That Is the prettiest tank i have ever seen! How do you take such good pictures? Do you have a special camera? I have an Olympus c50 5 megapixels. Any tips for me on the photography! I keep getting flash from the glass, and out of focus shots! Thank you, you are an inspiration!!!!!!

As always, great photos. I always figured fireworms rasped at things, not swallowing them whole. Live and learn.

Yeah I didnt know it either. This is the first time I have seen any pics like this. It was even better watching hte process in person. :cool2:

I use a canon a510 that I bought on special for 150.00 and its only 3.2mp. Remember to not use flash when taking pics.

Ever wanted to know what this tank used to look like? When I said that this tank has gone through cycles in its life spans I meant it. Seeing these old shots almost brings a tear to my eye.
