Not being able to upgrade my aquarium anymore, I decided to upgrade my pond instead. Over the last month or so I've dug up the little 2x3x1 preformed pond, dug up all the flower beds that were around it (initially the small pond and flower beds were in raised beds framed by old railway sleepers) and bought a load of liner and this is what I've ended up with!!!

Looks very nice!

Very nice! So about how many gallons is it now?

is that big red streak a gold fish or a koi?

Absolutely no idea! It's shaped like a giant square "P". The long side being 20ft, the smaller width being 2ft and the wider width being 6ft. The deepest part is 3.5ft and it absolutely killed me trying to dig it all. I have found out just how many friends and wonderful neighbours I have!!!

I lied. I forgot we had to make the pond shorter because the sleepers sloped too much!!! Here's some more piccies including one of the measurements which might explain things!!!

These are some fish!!! There a few goldfish and shubumkins that I've transferred over from the small pond.

If the plan map is true and the average depth of the pond is 2.5 feet, then you have a pond that holds about 1320 gallons of water! Which means you could put in about 70 goldfish!
