upgraded my light fixture

I purchased this light fixture today. I'm running it with a marine-glo actinic blue and a power-glo super bright.
I love the way the lights reflect against the blue background and on the rocks.

only downside is my tank is now "topless". my cycle is almost over. I hope my fish won't jump out when I eventually start stocking the tank.

You might want to look into plastic mesh or eggcrate if you have jumpers.

are firefish jumpers? I intend on getting an orange and a purple firefish.

I have two firefish and neither have jumped out of the tank. I think they are more prone to jump when unhappy in their living conditions, temperature spike, etc.

I almonst don't want to say it, but I have a purple firefish and he hasn't jumped yet either. Hope it stays that way.

Stress of some sort is probably the issue as RS said. Even so, I'd still put some sort of mesh up to avoid carpet surfing.
