Upgraded to 75g planted tank

I think adding a black background would look very sharp on your tank.

I like the overall look of your set-up. I do not know anything about plants. They look good.

The reflection is weird. The background is a very dark green piece of cloth that I had laying around. So I cut it to fit the back of the tank and taped it up. But for some reason it does reflect a lot??

your tank looks great!

BTW, are you sure that your platy is a platy? it looks like it might be developing a sword.

Yeah it is a platy. I had 5 of them and this was the only one out of them that survived. I bought them back in March. I'm not sure why the others died but he thinks he's a zebra danio sometimes.

I like the way it looks. Once the plants grow I will do some aquascaping and position the plants exactly where I want them. I need to swap and few plants with different ones.

The fish are much happier in there than they were in the 26 bowfront I started out with. I had the pleco's in there...oooops. they are around 6-7" but now love the room in the 75. I'd like to get a few more rainbows as they are my favorite community fish. My girl friend wants me to get a couple parrots. I like them, they have great personalities. Thanks for the opinions.

Parrots will kill everything there.

Your tank looks great by the way...sorry I didn't say that earlier. I love the Rainbows...they are gorgeous.

I would definitely get more Rainbows, since you really like them. They are a schooling fish, so really you should have atleast small groups of each type. I'd get more so you have 4 of each type.

You could also get more Neons, since the tank is big. ;) You have room for a school of atleast 10 of them. And definitely get more Cories....they are so much fun to watch when you have a group of them.

nice tank and rainbows!
