Upside down catfish - what do they like to eat?

Hello again!
I have identified one of my fish to be (inherited but not yet collected!) as an upside down catfish (not that difficult to identify, even for me!!)..

I was horrified to read they enjoy eating mosquito larvae from the surface of the water......this poor fish has been living off of fish flakes for the last year or so....

what do they eat as I really wanna give him/her some nourishment??

I have a few in my tank, mine come out when its feeding time and search a round the bottom for fallen flakes. I also throw in a algae wafer or two at night for them and my oto's

they eat anything but prefer things that are floating. flakes are good. nothing too big cuz they have small mouths.
