I received a shippment from saltwaterfish.com this a.m. and started acclimating the coral beauty fish from the shippment b4 doing the inverts....as the paperwork stated...

It's been almost two hours and she is still laying on her side and I really cannot see her breathing anymore...I realize this sounds like or maybe really is a very dumb question...but, is my fish dead?

The paperwork included mentioned that certain fish will lay on thier sides and breathe heavily, but I don't see her doing that anymore...she darted across the bucket the last time I went over to check on everything and I haven't seen her do anything since.....please help.

If she is dead this is the SECOND Coral Beauty I have killed, they are too pretty for me to keep doing this!!!!!

Dead...not breathing, moving, anything...I very gently poked her with a net and didn't get a response...

Gonna sounds really silly, but, just to make sure, i would gently lower it into the tank in a net near to a powerhead ( but not in direct stream ) and see if you get any reaction with water being blown over it, obviously, dont leave it there though in case anything is actually wrong with the fish...but a few secs in the tank will not hurt..Beside from that mate, it does look like it has died..

If it is, am really sorry to hear it...
