URGENT HELP!!Goldfish acting strange

Alright guys my albino goldfish was sitting a bowl as i was water changing and he hopped out, i noticed this when i got back in the room and instantly put him back in the water. He is still alive and is mostly just sitting at the bottom of the tank looking really wobbly and then will suddenly take of and hit one of the walls. After he does this he seems to be able to swim perfectly fine but then will start drifting back to the bottom after ten minutes or so.

Is there anything i can do to help him right now i hate to see the little guy in pain, also what are the chances that he will live?
 
You could start by providing adequate housing for your fish. In a bowl, the chances that it will live a full healthy life are slim to none, and slim's not looking too good right now.
 
i'd add a tablespoon of aqaurium salt for every 5 gallons of water in the tank he calls home. as others have pointed any small dwelling is not suited to any variety of true goldfish as they get very large and produce a lot of waste.

Chances are that if he has to sit in a bowl while you are doing water changes then whatever you are keeping him in isn't big enough.

One regular goldfish, not pond goldfish like comets and shubunkin, need 30 gallon tanks. Pond type fish need 50 gallons.

If he's been injured then it will be far harder for him to recover if he is not in an suitable environment. As already pointed out, adding salt will help him and then all you can do is just wait and see.

Goldfish a wierd. They are a lot harder to keep happy and healthy then most people imagine.

First, keep him in at least a 25 gallon

add a little aquarium salt to his water

Dont feed him too much, coldwater fish can go without eating for many days with no problems.

Dont heat the water. They like it room temperature.

Change 20% of the water weekly.

Make sure you are adding something that eliminates the chlorine/chloramine from the water.

The stress of actually moving him to a bowl and back to a tank is too much for most fish... Especially if the bowl is using normal tap water instead of treated water.

Goldfish hate loud sounds. They hate irregular intervals of lighting.

They like lots of oxygen in their water.

Your fish just seems to have classic stress symptoms. He hates his life and is waiting for his body to die. Try to improve his environment.
