Here are some of the places i've used with comments:
(I tried not to mention those already mentioned but thumb up for kens)

cheap (and very cheap shipping); but i've seen a few fishes with deformities: won't sex cichlid or sell in pairs.

generally good fishes and service (but wasn't happy with their otto's but otherwise fantastic); generally i prefer them as a mix of quality fishes and good selection. This tends to be the first place i check.

aquaticarts.com (good but i consider a step down from wetspot.com; don't dislike them but seems less hobbist ecentric for some reason - probably result of being a larger operation)

https://www.tangledupincichlids.com/ (very nice fellow small one person setup some rare cichlid; but limited selection)

http://aquaticclarity.com/index.php/about-aquaticclarity/ (another one person shop apistogramma expert; very very large selection of apistogramma; really a pretty good place if they have what you want)

plant places in order of preference:

https://marcusfishtanks.com/ (fantastic if they have what you want;; absolutely fantastic - small selection)

https://dustinsfishtanks.com/ (not as good as marcus but pretty darn good if they have what you want - small selection)

https://aquariumplants.com/ (plants are more what you expect from typical mail order but still a wee bit better prefer them over dustin but dustin will sell larger portion; pretty happy with them)

https://www.aquariumplantsfactory.com/ (very large selection and decent service but more clinical)

(plants can have issues if they are submersed or emersed form; rooted stems and so forth)

I could list some trusted ebay sellers but that might be a step too far esp with regards to longevity.
