i read on a website that i should use maroxy to prevent fungus from attacking the betta eggs while they're in the bubble nest because of infertile ones. i currently have my male in the spawning tank and i was wondering whether or not i should really add the maroxy? if so, should i take him out?

yes,its sopossed to work,i've never used before when i spawed my bettas but im going to try it with my next spawn.

well i hope it works for you,by the way, what kind of bettas are you breeding?i breed CT's and HM's.

startin out with CT's. pretty soon i'm gonna start trying to order online. as of now, i just wanna get down the actual breeding process. i messed up badly last time and lost both potential parents. this time i feel i'm more prepared to handle this. any tips you could offer?

the first pair i spawned were CT's and they stayed together for about 2 days after she came out of the hurricane lanturn and when they finaly spawned i had about 150 babies and only 8 are alive.here are the female i plan on spawing, the male isnt being very camera friendly atm so ill get a pic of him tomorrow.

i have played with various meds/chemicals to stop the "fungus" that happens. I stopped. No real change in wriggler numbers. Dead eggs develop fungus. rarely is it life eggs. Rapid calcification of the egg surface impedes fertilization. I found that lowering Total Dissolved solids was more effective than a chemical treatment at increasing yield.
