used filter - do i need to cycle?

hey everyone,
well, ive bought a new 55 gallon tank, and have set it up nicely with new gravel and substrate. the eheim filter i will be using is nicely matured and has been filtering my other tank for months. So my question is......Do you think i need to do a fishless cycle in the tank or should there be plenty good bacteria in the filter already? :huh: cheers, uubrey

Plenty of good bacteria. I set up new tanks using sponges from mature tanks all the time. No need to cycle.
