A pregnant goldfish is actually called a twit.

There is a large problem with this fact: pregnant goldfish do not exist. Could that mean that they are gravid instead?

my twits are maybe not twits after all matt...they have calmed down alot, but are still looking plum. i got 5 2ins goldfish today for my other pond - but they all swam among the parrots feather at the bottom so i cant see them! oh, and remind me....next time i learn over to look in that pond to watch where i put my hands - the birds mess is everywhere!

Going back to my youth a PRAT was considered a pregnant goldfish (I'm not saying that's correct), a twit is someone like me who reponds to threads like this, and a twat?

Well, that's a different story altogether...
