using 65w bulbs with 96w-rated ballast

i've asked a similar question before about using 55w bulbs with a 65w-rated ballast, which i was told is do-able. (thanks)

now, how about a 65w bulb with a 96w-rated ballast? TIA.

more than likely the bulb will fire. I would guess that a few things would happen: 1) the bulb life would be shortened 2) the spectrum would be changed somewhat.
