What is everybodys experience using pond plant fert tabs in the aquarium?
I have used them instead of flourish tabs before but my tests were inconclusive.
Should I just cough up the extra dough fo the flourish tabs?

What kind of plants do you have that would benefit from in substrate fertilization?
I am not a great fan of fert/plant tabs of any kind, but especially the ones that were not made for aquariums. Unless planted very deeply and handled carefully so as not to disturb them once in the substrate, they can cause a multitude of problems.
I've grown many 'root feeders' very successfully without using them, but by using nutrients dosed into the water table.

I use pondtabbs for the trace elements along with an intensive iron liquid fertilizer. I have heavy root feeders-crypts, val and Radican swords. That is all I have used for several years now with good results.
