using seachem buffers

i noticed that i cannot use marine buffer powder and reef complete with in 30 mins, and it sounds best to do them on opposite days. If i were to mix the marine buffer into my 5 gallon bucket with salt and water, an air pump as well, then let the bucket sit for 24 hours. When i do the water change, could i dose reef complete or will it still be effected.

I assume you are having a problem with precipitation when you add them close together?

pH affects alkalinity so adding the buffer to close to the calcium is going to cause this. It would be best to wait a few hours or the next day between doses. May I ask why you are buffering pH?

Do you know what your current alkalinity, calcium and magnesium levels are?
