UV light in a planted tank?

I assume you mean a UV steralizer... in which case the UV light would not be hitting the plants (they are self contained units that are typically plumbed in line with a pump or filter). The only thing that could inderectly effect plants is that I've heard UV can possibly cause some issues with iron, if I recall it can break the chelate causing iron to percipitate out (and possibly other traces)? I dont remember for sure. I've used UV on a lightly planted tank so I really dont have a good test.
