UV sterilizer tubing positioning and help

From everything I have researched on the subject of UV sterilization the slower and closer the flow of critter infested water passing by the UV bulb the better as chromosomes are broken apart damaging the organisms ability to reproduce and survive. So GPH flow is really for keeping the bulb cool and getting all the water in your aquarium cycled passed that bulb which means that even at rate as slow as 40-50 GPH which incidentally is ideal exposure for most aquariums, your going to be doing an excellent job of UV exposure to you entire aquarium in just a few hours. Whereas if you are flying organisms suspended in water past the light at 200-300 GPH the UV light like a flame is not going to burn or kill anything and be ineffective. Like passing your hand through a flame at high speed you hardly feel anything but if you pass your hand through the flame slowly, your going to cause damage. So yes you need to think differently about UV sterilizers for slow flow exposure. Why I incidentally like the 24W Green Killing Machine because it was engineered with its own built in matched pump to bulb flow rate (about 40 GPH), resulting is noticeable performance allowing your aquarium to have sunlight widow exposure without any algae growth, along with no disease outbreaks IMO.

BINGO

I have a large one that came with it's own pump..low flow..
CWO is correct ..it's all about exposure.
