Im going away for the weekend, from saturday morning to late monday. Don't know if I can leave fish without food. The tank is still cycling. Any suggestions on how to keep them fed?

If you are only leaving for a couple of days your fish should be fine without feeding them. Just feed them the normal amount right before you walk out the door and when you come back they will be good and hungry so you can feed them again upon your return.

I wouldn't worry about the feeding as much as the tank still being cycled. When doing a fishy cycle you should be doing daily water changes and going 3 days without a water change could potentially create deadly ammonia levels.

When I leave for the weekend, I just break off small amount of a 3 or 10 day feeder, and drop it in. The fish are interested in it right away....and it slowly releases food bits over the weekend. It also has alot of calcium in it...which is good for the snail.

Do not use any part of a vacation feeder for the tank especilly since the tank is still cycling. They have a bad reputation for dumping too much food at once which will mess with the water quality in a real big hurry. Just go have fun and do not worry about the fish if it is only a few days. They will be fine. You can feed them when you get back and they will love you for it.

Ditto.

Do not put a vacation feeder in. You are still cycling..that will only add to the ammonia and or nitrites in the tank. Your fish will be fine with no food, and better off as less wastes will be produced seeing how you arent going to be able to do water changes for a few days..

Have a great vacation!
