Val trouble with soft water...

I recently purchased a few stems of Synoganthus sp Belem and needed to soften my water. I have it at 3dKH and 6dGH up until i changed the hardness my Corkscrew Vals were growing great! I've got 2.75wpg, root tabs, pps pro fertilizing DIY CO2 . The Vals seem to have come to a stand still. Any tips that others with soft water do to get their Vals growing and healthy?

Vals use the carbonates in hardwater as a source of Carbon. Injecting CO2 may help.

Synoganthus sp Belem is a very hard plant to grow. I never had any luck. Co2, and rich substrate are must. Good luck. As for the vals, try a GH booster.
