Vallisneria – The One Plant Wonder.

I wrote an article on Vallisneria. An easy to grow plant. Many people who've never had luck with aquatic plants, can have a lush green aquarium by only growing Vallisneria.

nice tanks, i swop about 40 of these plants for excel at the local pet shop every 2 month, i must trim them every week - its like a weed. longest leaf strand i have removed was 1.2 meters long.

Nice article....
I do wish you explained the differences of lighting when you throw out that 1WPG will suffice? 1wpg of t5ho? t5no? cfl? t12? t8? MH? LED? They are all extremely different and vary greatly in how efficient they are in the WPG game.

Nice article. I've personally grown "nice" vals with only .67 wpg of crappy T8 lighting...wasn't explosive growth but it still spread well.

They are a really strong growing plant and algae resistant. I had the roots of one come off during a water change with the tinyist of tiny green shoot and 3 weeks later...

The twisted vals are a really good accompaniment to the straight vals by the way

how does it grow in high ph, hard water?
