Vegetables for Cichlids

Actually I never really get to see him out and about any more. He has a perfect (for him) cave that gets plenty of water flow bringing him food and such, without any fish swimming back there to bother him. My blackbelt is now over 6", but I have had him with this crawfish (now well over 4" body alone) since he was about 1". I have actually had several smaller fish housed with him and have even seen a few "eat out of his lap" without getting anything but a menacing flair of pinchers. I think he's all talk- no action!;)

Everyone now gets along well, and although I don't get to see my crawfish walking around the tank, I do get the benefit of an excellent clean-up crew working behind the rockwork to get rid of the excess food that would undoubtably add to the waste in the tank! He is an excellent scavenger! I have tried to bait him out with food, but don't get any real response......he's well-fed!

A friend of mine had one of these blue ones and he said that it speared one of his fish on its claw and carried the fish around. After being told of that experience and seeing the aggresiveness of the one I had I thought I would pass on them. I guess they are like every other fish though.
