Venus Flytraps!!!!

NEVER ever keep carniverous plants like that in the house of you have a cat!!!

the next day they will be either eaten, smell like urine or sideway's on the floor with dirt all over the ground...

(as you can tell i've had experience with these types of things;) )

I have a cat..... we also bought her some cat grass to eat, when we bought the snappers ;)

besides i think the plants actually freak her out.

I just got one, pretty sweet, I fed it a few live bugs i got from my yard, they look like centepedes

i got one from home depot about 2 weeks ago. there were like 5 traps but one just died.

any tips on keepin them healthy beside feedin/watering?

i know when i had a few that did really well, i ended up switching the pots( walmart plants as well) I used a a tray to place the upgraded pots on a bed of gravel which is where i watered them through. its also how I grow African violets( hardest plant to get blooming and keep from getting water spots on!) they then get set in a Diffused light area, ..and always do well.

They're pretty delicate little things. There are a few good care guides floating around on the internet. They need: RO/DI water; acidic substrate; high humidity; lots of light; a winter cool-down. If you can give them all that they should do well, if not they'll just wither away.
