how do i lower or raise gravity levels?
can i pull out a coral out of a live rock. if i do, will it die?

You can lower specific gravity by slowly adding freshwater (preferably RO or RO/DI). To raise it, you'd slowly add more salt mix, or allow a certain amount of water to evaporate out of the tank.

I wouldn't pull on most corals -- you'd likely damage them extensively and possibly kill them. What type of coral is it? Many corals can be cut at the base and relocated wherever you want them to be.

In case you do not know...Do not add salt directly into your display aquarium...mix it first and then introduce it.
