very strange phone number called me! anybody have ideas?

what the heck kind of phone number is "V09041658310000"????


this number called my cell on Sept 4th, i didn't pick it up, no voicemail was left, and i can't find any information about this phone number on the net.

anybody have some insight??

However, I know that some phone banks and companies set their outgoing number to some different number altogether.

While my husband was in Iraq he'd use skype to call me and it always came up as 0000123456. Maybe it was someone using a web service like that?

Sounds like an international number to me. I wouldn't answer if you're not expecting an international call.

Telemarketer, scam service, bill collector, all of the at once. More than likely it's someone from Venus trying to make a dinner reservation to have some BBQ Earthlings for dinner.

i'd write it off as a geeky friend trying out "that new thing" on his computer. beings the number starts with V0 it looks a lot like "voice over" as in voice over ip... pc/phone/net service.

if it happens again, answer it. you'll get your answer and worse case scenario you act like you're someone else and the bill collector/phone marketer calls back again later only to be ignored.
