hi today i bought a VA80PF and it came with some air tubbing and a little piece of black plastic on it
when i attach the tubbing and the black piece the pump trows a hi flow of water and bubbles is this ok and how does it work???

It sounds like a little powerhead w/ a filter. I think the tube pulls in air (aspirates it) into the water stream. That's okay if you need the aeration and turbulence. A lot of powerheads operate this way.
