Hey everyone seeing as though my frog didn't like me enough to stay in his terrarium.. i figured id indulge myself in a frog thats caught my interest quite a bit! i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with a VMF and if so whats the proper way to take care of them, i have read quite a bit about them and know they at need the tank filled a little higher with water because towards their adulthood they get more and more aquatic. but exact instructions are always nice, also are they able to be taken out of the tank and rest on your hands at all?

Thanks id advance to anyone who fills me in.

I think most of the VMF are wild caught species. And like most amphibians they dont like being held. If you do happen to get them take some pictures I think they are one of the coolest frogs to keep. Saw a group of them at the last reptile show I went to and you can barely tell they were frogs.

There are actually quite a few people who are breeding them in captivity now. From what I hear it's not too difficult. Look on Kingsnake.com for captive bred and born ones.
