I was wondering what everyone uses to check out their reef upclose. I have used a handheld magnifying glass to check out corals and fish and even to observe pods, stars and baby bristle worms; but the capability is limited. I have looked at the Oogles Mesoscope but that is way too expensive ($495).

Does anyone use anything different for their up close viewing?

ditto on the glass.

I get a close up with the macro feature on my camera and then use the digital zoom to get even closer.

check out them chemistry sets some have hand held microscopes ,i have one and its cool i can see microscopic stuff on my glass .
Toys r us is usually pretty good around this time of year and sometimes get lucky with higher micr on the magnifying glass ,anything bugs check it out .
The best one i got i had to break it out of a toy lol

Never thought of doing that...some sort of other world it must be...I'm not ready to get glued for hours like that yet.
