There's a fish store in manassas, va with a metaframe 10 gallon tank...they want $100 for it...I laughed at them and walked out the door. Nothing came with it, no idea it's condition, it was on the top shelf.
When I worked retail, everything in the store was for sale except for the employees. Those we rented.
Everything had a price on it. Giant ridiculously large full cow rawhide bones started at $100.00 until someone bought it. The price went up to $125.00 because they were still hard to get. It sold. Parrots that were "part of the family" had prices on them. Really high prices, just in case, but priced. It's a store after all and the IRS frowns on keeping personal pets at a pet store.
Then there's asking and selling price. If someone offered $50.00 that Metaframe tank might just get sold.
