I was just curious, does anyone have their heater completely submersed under the water?

I'm a little hesitant to fill the water past the "minimal" water line!

I have the same heater and i've had it horizontal about 3 inches from the bottom with no probs for months.

you can see it in my avatar but i a previous setup it was along the bottom

all of mine are under water too.

I have 6 Visa-therm stealths running in various tanks. All of them are completely under water.

They are an awsome heater.

I keep mine up at the top but so that the water covers the minimum water line,
I also have a jager heater and on the box it said submersible it looks like pretty much the same as the visi-therm except with a dial and then on the instructions inside it said DO NOT submerse.. So it too isn't completely submersed.
