Is it necessary or recommended to add vitamins to foods? This pertains to both fish, inverts and a few corals. I feed a broad array of frozen/thawed foods, marine snow weekly and seaweed on occasion. If so, which one? Your thoughts?

do animals out in the wild ever take supplements? I guess with the amount of diversity and "fresh" and "living" food source it is not necessary. food we feed our captive animals are processed and packaged who knows how long it's been in the fridge, transport conditions, etc. adding supplements is to replace some of the essentials that are lost due to variables. if it were easier and made available I would rather feed my aquarium with homemade stuff. inverts and corals are a bit more tricky but i am not sure there are products marked vitamins for them.

i soak my fish food in vita chem ,it doesnt hurt them.i dont know if it helps them ,but they are very healthy.
