These don't seem that humane... or at least not comfy for fish. Too bad they look nifty. Basicly it's a 4' or 7' (20 and 30 gallons respectivly) that are 31" high x 6" deep.

Wall Aquariums

Thoughts?

I suppose with the appropriate occupants they would be ok and I am talking 1 inch or less here, but that dose limit your choices a lot. A plant only tank would be better , and maybe a couple of amano's or other shrimp would be fine, the main thing is that if you know the tanks limitations it would ok. But as they had in the pics on the home page balas are a big no no, but I think your average conservative aquarist would know this.
I suppose I would have to say that they would not be a very good idea , the reason being that most people who buy these type of tanks are beginners or people who are looking for that great looking tank without the cost, and in the long run they will probably end up putting in unsuitable fish. I could be wrong.

It would be ok for some neons or danios or fish of that size. They do look pretty nice. As long as you are smart about it. But unfortunatly people would abuse the poor fishies by putting something stupid in it.

I did actually look around. They install them and they actually come with fish, and have a max amount of fish per model. They don't recomend putting any more in, and even talk about the "adult sizes" of the fish. They explain about over stocking and go into detail, about cycling and algae control. Its actually more then I expected.

Though the price for a 30 gallon(7 feet) is 3 friggin grand. Uuuuh yeah I could get a pretty sweet setup for 3 grand.

Oh yeah youd probably want to make sure your wall studs could support that amount of weight

Ps. I would still not buy this. But their site and product is not completely wrong, or bad.

How about using it as an ant or worm farm? :p:

Thats a good idea! and it would look cool too.

I'd like to see an ant farm or worm farm on my wall? Did anyone see the last CSI directed by Quentin Tarantino, where the CSI guy is kidnapped and put into glass box underground and the fire ants start eating him alive?

Ant farm?

Looks interesting, but true, you can get a better setup for $3,000. It looks suitable for smaller fish like guppies and cories.

"We spent countless hours to produce this low maintenance/easy to install product because we know people are just too busy for cleaning and maintaining an aquarium the old fashioned way."

"Virtually maintenance free"

I don't like it already...

I say for 3 grand screw the wall aquarium and get a nice big giant tank and stick something awesome in it.

I would love to have an ant farm hanging on my wall though. That is awesome. I had little plastic ant farms as a kid, and I'd so do it again, except I'd build a large long antfarm, and well, hang it on the wall. Then buy a colony with a queen and it would be great.

Yes I did see that CSI, it was strange, but good. I think the ants would have been the worst part of that for me. That and not being able to sit up when they opened the top.

Now back to the original topic, I think that tank doesn't have enough width to it. Even with small fish, I don't know, I just like it better when fish have room to swim in whatever direction they please.

poor nick, geeze what a whopper of an ending when he got hit with 400 pounds of dirt after all of that other trauma...i couldnt help but laugh, tarantino is SOOO wrong!!!!
As for the fish tank, it looks (from the pics) alot more depth than six inches, its really that slender? that sucks, i like ashdavid and debs built in tanks, those are awsome in comparasion. remeber the toliet tank? Hahahahaha, a "potty tank", that sucks!

WOW- i checked out more of the site, and that is a thin little thingm like its mounted in a picture frame or something. One thing I have extreme dislike for is the sales pitch they throw at you right away....almost like spam or something...
