The seller would be smarter if he bred them (in good conditions ofc!) and sold them on an annual basis.
Well, I guess the seller might breed them because nobody is going to buy those nice plecos at that price. S/he would better have pristine conditions in the tank where they are if they don't want to get up and see 27000 dollars belly up.:jaw-dropping:

Hell itd probably be cheaper to just fly to their natural habitat and smuggle a bunch of them back into the country and set up a nice, top secret breeding area

It actually probably would be cheaper to collect them yourself. Smuggling wouldn't be necessary unless they're a protected species in their native country. Dodging bullets may be another story though, depending on exactly where they come from...
