Want to add neons

Beautiful tank. Is that Java ferns in the lower left corner? If it is, it shouldn't be planted. It is a rhizone plant and should be attached to something like your driftwood. If the rhizone is buried the plant will slowly die.

you can keep them planted in the substrate, provided you make sure the rhiozome is at least partially out of the substrate.

I believe its ok if the roots and not the rhizone is buried, but that is very annoying to do. I think a plant on his driftwood would look good. You can attach with fishing line or rubber bands.

How is yor tank doing Fishcatch22? I see you also went saltwater. Is it more difficult to maintain. I want to go saltwater soon too.

tanks fine, friend! all inhabitants happy and healthy, though I moved my glows to my mom's tank and got a ghost shrimp. the SW is fine too, though I have an unusual preponderance of green polyps on my live rock, but thats a good sign, I guess.
