I don't want to just give it to her, because if I sold it I would get something for it (though not a lot, I'm sure.) I also don't want to ask an unreasonable price because... well, she's my MOM and she'll probably pay whatever I ask. :D

Specs:
55 gallon glass aquarium, 7 years old but in great condition
Open-frame wood stand with 1 shelf for supplies
Full canopy with 2x40W fluorescents with reflector and electronic remote ballast
3 inches of gravel
Undergravel filter with 2 powerheads
Brand-new Ebo-Jager heater, 150 watt (including for free)
Plus some plant cuttings, also free

What do you think?

OH MY GOSH!!! Like Stock R said... ITS YOUR MOM!!! If She charged you for everything you wanted, it would be a lot!

Its the least you can do.

If it was my Mom, I would give her everything and help her maintain it. Then I would teach her everything I know about fish. And then some more!

....then give her a back massage in between checking on the food I'm cooking for her, while she brouses some fish books picking out which fish to add to the tank.....

Man, the things our parents went through to make us happy when we were spoiled kids! It's the LEAST we can do!

if your a drinker just say a carton of beer or what ever you drink thats what i would do

or for the tank and all the accessories say $30-$50 i think that would be fare

but if its just the tank give it to her

think about it;)

Indeed. Just give it to her, or sell it to someone else. Just don't sell it to her. How much were you thinking of getting for it? $100 bucks maybe?

Okay guys. Maybe you need the full story.

I bought her a brand new 55 gallon tank with all the trimmings for Mothers day a couple of years ago. I have been buying fish, a Python, driftwood, and plants for her since I bought her the tank.

I was planning to sell my 55 gallon tank in the Classifieds to help finance the purchase of my new 100 gallon tank. My mom was going to buy a brand new tank for herself anyway, so when she heard this she said she wanted to buy my old one off of me instead. So, I said sure.

I bought her a brand new unopened Ebo-Jager 150W heater for my old tank completely free (she has a Jack Dempsey who likes to destroy heaters so she needed the extra thickness) and I am also giving her as many plant clippings as I can. Now I just want to know what a reasonable price would be like for a stranger seeing the tank with the specs in my first post in the Classifieds. I was thinking maybe $100.

Here are the Specs Again:
55 gallon glass aquarium, 7 years old but in great condition
Open-frame wood stand with 1 shelf for supplies
Full canopy with 2x40W fluorescents with reflector and electronic remote ballast
3 inches of gravel
Undergravel filter with 2 powerheads

What do you think would be a fair price?
