Want to start again

Are the bulbs single tube or double tube? How long are the bulbs?

I am guessing they are 40W bulbs. 40W x 6 = 240W / 90G = 2.7 watts per gallon. A reasonable amount of light.

You mentioned CO2 injection and Flourish Excel. Normally people use on eor the other. And Excel gets expensive with a 90G tank.

Assuming proper light and and co2 (or carbon for the excel) the missing ingredient is fertilizer. There is not enough nutrients in tap water for plants assuming good light and co2.

Flourish (Standard, not Excel) or Flourish tabs might be a good choice.

I'll leave the rest for the experts.

there are four 265 wat ligts

Are you saying that each bulb has a wattage of 265? That is a ridculous amount of light if that is so. I didn't know they even made bulbs with that much wattage.

I say your plants are starving from too much light and not enough ferts and CO2.

ok so more fertiliser less light more co2?

also should I add a substrate fertiliser such as flourite?

Well we still are not sure of what light you have, but if you need fertilizer.

CO2 we do not know as you have not given us the info on how much they get now.

Flourite is not a bad idea, but not necessary either.

Plants require a balance of Light, CO2 and Fertilizer. The trick is finding the balance.

Post details on your lighting setup and your C02 setup and I am sure someon ecan help.

I'm betting it's a 4x65 watt light. Coralife doesn't make standard strip lights with 4 tubes.

So now we pretty much know there is enough light.

So now we need to know what kind of substrate?
What kind of CO2 system?
What kind of ferts if any?

And I would suggest that the original poster take a few minutes and read my Guide.

Also it's possible that the plants were damaged by cold during shipping.

I'll start puting co2 in 10 hrs a day at 1 bubble every 5 seconds my lighting is on 12 hrs per day and I'll folow the manufactureres instructions for fertilisers. And my lighting has 265 wats, so does that sound right?

Okay, 4x65 for a total of 260W. The bubble count to my untrained brain sounds good, what kind of diffuser?

Best guess is not enough nutrients for the plants.

Read Rex's guide.
