How long is the shelf life on these pellets and how long do they lasy once opened? My fish love them but I only have 3 cories and 2 flying foxes that actually eat them and half a bottle left?
My thoughts exactly! I still have 2/3 left after 6 months of use. (I did buy the larger one when it was on sale at Walmart). If I remember correctly, it was tin-packaged so if you don't open it, I assume it will last for years?
like i said on the other thread, if you freeze them they would probably last indefinately.......

My parents had (and still have) a 55-gallon freshwater that they have had for longer than I've been alive. We always used the shrimp pellets for our bottom feeders (the other fish liked them too).

Ewok, the matter of freezing them came up on another forum, and the consensus there (not sure about the truth) was that because the container is cardboard (excepting that thin "foil" like lining) it could very well absorb moisture from the freezer and transfer it to the food inside, which would counteract the benefits of freezing it...?
