Was this worth my weekend?

I will, as soon as it grows in a little. It looks pretty empty right now, although maybe that would be worth posting, give kind of a now and then feel. I got rid of the Bleheri sword, I liked it, but it was way too huge for the tank. The fish are happy though, lots more swimming room, for now. :D

I had 2 of those bleheri swords in my lil 25g that grew and grew and grew. I transferred them to the new tank.......the roots were huge! I used them to help cycle the new tank. I pulled them out when I planted the new plants. I put in an ozelot sword, its only a few leaves, (only one) I read it doesn't get so big, 9 inches or so max (I hope). I planted hygrophilia around it. When it gets bigger, I'll pull out the hygro, but I'm hoping this plant takes awhile to get that large. I luv the swords, but what hogs! Is there such thing as a small one?

I hear you about the roots! These were a good 7" long and I had to replant a bunch of the stems that were within that radius from it (they got pulled up with it). I've got a nice 'Indian Red' sword growing very well right now, although (ironically) I wish that it was bigger. The leaves have probably reached 5-6" by now and it looks great with its deep, deep red (really a deep purple) newer leaves. So yeah, I guess there are some smaller ones! If only they would be big or small when and where we wanted!

The Tropica Sword (Echinodorus parvifloru) is one small sword that i have had extremely good luck with. Mine only grows about 6" high.

Perhaps it's the tropica parviflorus that I have as well. I thought that it was E. parviflorus, but so far the biggest leaves are about 6-7" long. It sure formed a huge mass of plantlife, and fast! I had runners all across the tank when I decided it was time to take it in hand.

Wow i just found this thread nice tank GIRL!!! I really like the work in that!!! Looks better then mine at least, I need to get plants in mine, but I am afraid to! I see your CO2 system below there! Beautiful tank though!
