From those pics, it looks like a common to me. Have you got any more pics that show its coloration?

I thought common too, but none of the ones I have here of comperable size have a vivid orang stripe on it's tail.

Common pleco's can have color... I spent around two months looking for info on a plec with red stripes going down it's back, some people even thought it was a new species.. well it turns out it was just a color morph that was only found in one area.. here is a pic..
