washing hands

I use the same rules as if I was going to touch food. If I know my hands are fairly clean then I just dive in. If not I wash with soap. I am really picky about soap residue so I will either wait an hour or rinse my hands in soda water as the acid rinses soap faster. (It's an OCD thing I know.)

Once I am done I always wash in soapy water.

If you've just been working with cleaners or have washed with soap.. any of that getting into the tank can cause problems. Same thing with lotions, creams, oils, perfume...

If you wash your hands properly, you won't have any soap residue left on them. :)

Not necessarily. Many many soaps have fragrances and oils that do linger on your hands even after rinsing.

I rinse my hands and arms good before and use soap and water afterwards.
