wat fish eats green algae

i have little spots of algae about the size of grains of sand starting to develope in my tnak i had some chinese algae eaeters in ther but my eel ate them didnt know he would and i dont think they were eating it any way and recomendation on wat fish will eat this

what fish will this algae eater have to put up with? makes a big difference...

another thing I wonder is this little hard round spots of algae?

don't really have much to go on here, a little more information please?
 
well the only way i can get it off is to scrape it off with my finger nail and it will be putting up with a jack dempsey not agrressive just put a pair of convicts also dont know how theyll be and a few peacefull mnuba cichlids
 
What size tank? A pleco is usually your best bet... It may outgrow your tank though in which case you can trade it in to the LFS for a smaller one.

The one thing to be carfeul of is starving a Pleco. I think this happens far more often than people realize.
 
There all in a 55 gallon right now but the jd may have to move when he gets bigger i liked my chinese algae eaters but they did eat the green algae is there any type of pleco that would be best for getting rid of this green algae
 
The common trade pleco should do the job just fine. Make sure it is big enough to not fit in the mouth of any of your fish.
 
CB is right, it is spot algae and the fish are not strong enough to eat it off. A razor blade works great. This magnet also is great. It is very very strong.
