Downloader: I tried home depot and revy and totem and every other store in town. I can't remember exactly how much the tubing cost around here as I priced it out 2 years ago. But it was quite more for the same diameter tubing the python uses. So i jsut got the python.
You could use a baster bulb at the end.....squeeze till you see water. With a smaller vaccum hose I have.......... I just stick the whole baster in the end and squeeze. Works fast.
After you vaccum your tank that would be a good way to refill it...using the long hose....making sure the water temp is close.
Hey I'm new to the boards..
Haas...That looks like a great tank ya got setup!
And thanks for sharing the pictures, it shows a very clever way to change the water, and looks pretty easy.
I'm with valerie, I priced out the possibility of make my own "python" type device... turns out it would have cost me more just getting 50 feet of hose compared to the entire python setup. So I went the retail python route.
