water changes can you do to many

Daily water changes are in themselves more "natural", just more labor for the hobbyist unless you use an auto-changer. Most of us (definitely me) are too lazy for that.

Id say what you are doing is fine. I have done 50% water changes every day for a month, no problem. The only bad thing is that it uses a lot of water.

I recently has a nitrate problem that occured after moving the tank...I think the excess crud that was stirred up by the move cause it, although not sure.

I did 2 50% changes over the course of 3 days to no avail.....
then I did 2 80% over the course of 2 days and BINGO....got them down to 5ppm and staying steady so far and its been a week.

I think the key for doing over 50% water changes is having the new water as close to old tank water as possible. Mine was **** near right on the money
