Water changes

I do at least 40% on my 29 gallon once a week, more if I'm rearranging plants or pruning, which is easier with the water lower. I don't do a ton of gravel vaccing though, since it's pretty heavily planted. When I'm just doing water changes and not gravel vac I stick nylons over the end of the python, the danios are a little too curious.

I do 30 gallons on my 75. Every Saturday. I also vac the gravel at the same time, pretty thoroughly, but there is only 2 inches of gravel. The fish do a good job of moving the gravel around during the week so I only need to vac around the rocks.

I do 50% weekly, and gravel vac each time. I have increased to this from about 30% weekly as the fish have grown. I imagine it will increase to 50% 2 times a week as they get even larger.

I gravel vac every time, too. All my tanks have cichlids except the planted, and it just seems right to vac with wc's.
