Hi,

Looking at tanks for ocellatus (gold and pearly). Water is:
pH—8.1
KH—5 or 6
GH—10

do I need to up this? I could up it with buffers but prefer to stay with tap water if possible to maintain greater stability.

Thanks,

Nate

Nate it looks good to me! Did you test the tap water directly AND let a sample set out overnight and check the values again?

This was a measurement in the tanks. Both have completed fishless cycles.

I would still test your tap and a 24 sample to see if your GH, KH and pH values change after off gassing of your source water. It doesn't always change but nice to know.
